2Z Coffee Takeout — A Coffee Stand in Namdaemun Market, Seoul

Before this, I was in Hollys Coffee

On my first full day in Seoul, I also explored Namdaemun Market, which is within a long but bearable walking distance of 24 Guesthouse Myeongdong City where I stayed.

After enjoying some street food at the market, I walked around to find some refreshment and a coffee stand selling iced coffee was just the perfect find. 2Z Coffee Stand occupied a small shacky space, big enough only to accommodate one barista and his coffee-making tools. Despite the small space, the coffee stand had a long list of coffee on the menu. I got an iced latte for only 2,500 KRW, much cheaper compared to most coffeehouses. The coffee was smooth, a nice brew that did not take out all of the coffee’s bitterness. The latte was probably sweetened but not too much, just enough to enjoy a refreshing iced coffee with taste.

If you’re on the go and simply looking for good coffee, coffee stands are a great choice. You can take your coffee with you and drink while enjoying a nice walk or exploring more spots around the city.

Seoul is definitely a coffee lover’s paradise.
